Health Trainers

The Health Trainers have been recruited from the local community with the job of offering personal advice and guidance to anyone who is looking to improve their health. Part of the Health Trainers role is to be visible and known within their local community. They are recognisable wearing red polo shirts and black fleeces with Health Trainer logos.

“The Health Trainers will be out in the communities and available to provide one to one support to anyone who wants to make a difference. So whether it’s healthy eating, getting more exercise or stopping smoking, the Health Trainers will be able to empower people to improve their own lifestyles.”

The client is in total control of the areas they want to concentrate on and the changes they wish to make.

Health Trainers can help with:

  • Dieting, losing weight
  • Fitness
  • Stress/ anxiety reduction
  • Giving up smoking
  • Reducing drug/alcohol consumption
  • Safer sex guidance

Once a client’s aims and objectives have been chosen the Health Trainers will plan a personalised programme and offer encouragement and guidance to help them stay on track.
