JSNA
Over the coming years, health and social care services in North Lincolnshire will face considerable challenges. The needs of our population are changing and expectations are increasing. At the same time, public sector spending is under increasing pressure, making priority setting more important than ever.
In order to meet these challenges and provide effective, high quality public services, NHS North Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire Council must base their decisions on sound evidence of local need and outcomes. To help local agencies do this, a joint profile of local population needs is produced each year. This is known as a Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) and is a mandatory requirement for Local Authorities and Primary Care Trusts. The JSNA pulls together and summarises all existing, relevant information about health and social care trends, as well as local views about what people want from future services.
Our first edition of the JSNA focussed on the needs of older people and people with long term conditions. Since then, other summaries have been developed, including a JSNA which focuses on children and young people and a summary of the needs of vulnerable adults.
These summaries are attached below and can be downloaded from this page. More information on the health and wellbeing of the population and future trends, can be found on other sections of the Public Health Intelligence page.
